Chief of Staff - Ben Wolf
Ben Wolf joined the Department of Management Services as the Director of Communications in December 2012 after serving in the Florida House of Representatives Office of Public Information under Speaker Dean Cannon. Wolf assisted the House with public outreach in various capacities including overseeing video production, developing key communications messaging about legislation and helping to execute the 2011 Redistricting Public Outreach Tour, which spanned 26 cities throughout the state.
Prior to the House, Wolf served as deputy press secretary for the Florida Department of Education. He began his career as a television reporter for WCTV, the CBS affiliate in Tallahassee, where he covered the largest wildfire in the history of Florida and Georgia from start to finish. Wolf’s broadcasting career then led him to KSLA News 12, the CBS affiliate in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he covered crime, education and politics, as well as severe breaking weather including Hurricanes Ike and Gustav and several damaging tornadoes.
Wolf earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Miami with majors in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the Reubin O’D. Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at Florida State University. Ben and his wife, Cheryl, reside in Tallahassee.
