Fleet Management and Federal Property Assistance
The Division of Fleet Management and Federal Property Assistance is programmatically the most diverse of all Divisions within the Department. The Division provides oversight responsibility for the state's fleet, aircraft and the federal property surplus program.
Program Areas:
Bureau of Motor Vehicles & Watercraft Management: Responsibilities include the approval of all purchased mobile equipment for state agencies. It also provides disposal of the same through auctions.

Bureau of Federal Property Assistance: Responsibilities include acquiring federal surplus or excess military equipment from the federal government and transferring it to agencies to assist in deferring the cost of new equipment. The Bureau coordinates the distribution of $5.5 million in donated federal property each year.

On January 5, 2011, the Department of Management Services, Executive Aircraft Pool, ceased flight operations and subsequently sold its two state-owned business airplanes.
