Fleet Management and Federal Property Assistance
The Bureau of Fleet Management and Federal Property Assistance provides oversight responsibility for the state's vehicle and mobile equipment fleet, and the federal surplus property program. The bureau’s program areas include:
Fleet Management approves all state agencies’ vehicle and mobile equipment purchases, tracks inventory and utilization management of state vehicles and mobile equipment, and administers the disposal (by auction or scrapping) of vehicles and mobile equipment.

Federal Property Assistance acquires federal surplus or excess military equipment from the federal government and transfers it to eligible public entities and non-profit organizations to assist in deferring the cost of new equipment. Each year the Federal Property Assistance program coordinates the distribution of donated federal property valued at several million dollars.

On January 5, 2011, the Department of Management Services, Executive Aircraft Pool, ceased flight operations and subsequently sold its two state-owned business airplanes.
