Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) Overview
As part of the Department of Management Services, the Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) is the division which certifies minority, women-owned, and service-disabled veteran small businesses.
The process of becoming certified as a Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) with the Office of Supplier Diversity is streamlined through MyFloridaMarketPlace. Please review the eligibility criteria prior to proceeding to insure the business owner(s) meets eligibility.
Certifications are available for the following MBEs:
- Minority-owned
- Women-owned
- Service disable veteran-owned (as of November 11, 2008)
CBE Benefits
State certification is Florida's premier stamp of approval for minority, women, and service-disabled veteran business enterprises. It is widely accepted across the State of Florida in the private sector as well as cities, counties, school districts, hospitals, water management districts and other quasi governmental entities. Additionally, the certification process is one of the most "user-friendly" applications in the State of Florida.
Become a CBE
To receive CBE certification, a business must first register with MyFloridaMarketPlace and go to "New Vendor Registration". The vendor registration process allows a vendor to request minority certification through OSD and requires the vendor to identify its minority designation.
To obtain additional information on being certified, or to acquire a recertification, contact OSD at: OSDHelp@dms.myflorida.com or 850-487-0915.
