E911 Board Prepaid Study

The E911 Board is conducting a study to determine whether it is feasible to collect E911 fees from the sale of all prepaid wireless services. In accordance with Section 365.172.(8)(a), Florida Statute, the E911 Board requires all prepaid wireless service providers, including resellers, to provide the Board with information that the Board determines is necessary for the study. Letters have been sent to all known wireless service providers. This information is also provided on this web site for all providers. The study will include a review and evaluation of the collection of E911 fees on prepaid wireless service at the point of sale within the state. This evaluation must be consistent with the collection principles of end user charges such as those in Florida Statute 212.05(1)(e). The E911 Board has contracted with ASD, an independent consulting firm that will prepare the report. The contact information for the lead consultant is as follows:
