Radio Planning Assistance & Coordination
DMS Technical Responsibilities:
- Review state agency and local law enforcement communications systems
- Compose technical specifications
- Perform technical site surveys and assessments of existing radio communications systems
- Review and update Law Enforcement Communications Plan
DMS Assistance with FCC and FAA for State and Local governments:
- Provide Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensing assistance
- File Comments and Reply Comments with Federal Communications Commission for rulemaking on radio communications systems
- Provide Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensing assistance for tower clearance
DMS Involvement with local Intergovernmental Radio Communications Program (ICP):
- Review and approve new and amended local ICP
- Participate in ICP rulemaking (pdf 40.06 kB)
