Equipment
The M/A-COM, Inc. System Component List (SCL) provides the State of Florida and the State law enforcement agencies a targeted list of products, accessories, and service options that apply to the Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS).
The SCL identifies all the various product lines and accessories that will operate in the statewide system. The equipment specified by the State for SLERS requires electronic system keys and extended addressing, which are options not normally available in M/A-COM's general product lines. Many of the items listed in the SCL will not be applicable to other M/A-COM systems or users unless they are either subscribers to the SLERS or have acquired an identical EDACS platform similar to the SLERS.
The law allows all eligible entities (state, local and municipal government agencies, nonprofits, and other approved entities with state purchasing rights) to purchase from state contracts. To that extent, eligible users may use State Contract No. 725-001-01-1 to order equipment or services. This contract allows all local governments and other eligible entities to purchase from the SCL at the prices indicated or from the M/A-COM Wireless Systems Products and Services Catalog at a contract-provided 25% discount. The initial term of the contract is effective through October 22, 2020.
Items available in the M/A-COM catalog include a full array of conventional and trunked land mobile communications equipment in all frequency bands, networking equipment, console equipment, logging recorders and other user equipment and accessories. Equipment Warranties and Maintenance Service
Subscriber equipment is covered by a minimum of a twelve-month warranty from M/A-COM. After the warranty period has ended, agencies may purchase maintenance agreements, pay for maintenance on a time-and-materials basis, or provide their own maintenance services. Currently, a twelve-month maintenance contract is $125 per radio per year (brought to regional service shop) or $112 per year (depot service).
Equipment Spares for SLERS
The equipment spares list can be used to maintain M/A-COM mobile and portable radio equipment. The list consists of high usage parts, such as knobs and buttons, that may fail over time and also equipment spares that may be used by agencies performing their own maintenance. This list is intended to be dynamic and assist the agencies in identifying common spares and equipment boards.
