SUNCOM & SLERS Proposed Rules
Rulemaking Process
The Department of Management Services Communications and Information Technology Services (CITS) is currently engaged in a formal rulemaking process to revise SUNCOM communications rules to better reflect current responsibilities of our organization.
Proposed SUNCOM Rules 60FF-1, 60FF-2, 60FF-3 encompass SUNCOM customer eligibility, purchasing services, exemption approvals, and billing, in addition to SUNCOM service usage requirements, network security policies, and the procedures for maintaining state government listings.
Proposed SLERS Rule 60FF-4 relates to procedures for public safety entities using the Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS).
Published versions of proposed Rules 60FF-1, 60FF-2, 60FF-3, and 60FF-4 may be viewed on this Florida Administrative Weekly (F.A.W.) web site at pages 51-68.
CITS welcomes participation at any of the remaining public hearings on SUNCOM rules scheduled for the following dates at the Betty Easley Conference Center in Room 152:
- February 7 at 9:00 a.m.
- February 20 at 9:00 a.m.
