FRS Bulletin: Once a year, the Division of Retirement distributes this newsletter to active members of the FRS Pension Plan to keep members informed of retirement legislation, benefit provisions and other retirement-related news of interest. Current issues are listed below:
The Fall 2013 ( ) issue contains an article on the 2013 Retirement Legislation. The issue also includes articles concerning Member Annual Statements, the basics of DROP, and benefit forfeiture. There is also a reminder about the division's publications and check delivery method changes. Finally, the newsletter provides information about updating your beneficiary through your FRS Online account and division contact information.

The issue also includes articles concerning Member Annual Statements, the basics of DROP, information on the enhancement of our Online Services and how to get started using the many features available through our secure website environment. FRS Retiree Newsletter: This newsletter is distributed to retirees and other beneficiaries of the FRS Pension Plan once or twice a year to keep them informed of retirement legislation, benefit provisions and other retirement-related news of interest. Current issues are listed below:
The January 2015 ( ) issue contains the 2015 benefit payment schedule and a description of the steps required to help you set up your secure online profile. Related information is provided regarding the IRS Form 1099-R, the retiree annual statement, and direct deposit. There is an article with information for retirees on how to proactively protect your privacy. Other brief articles provide information on adjusting your tax withholding, reemployment for retired members and how to contact the division.
The July 2014 ( ) issue contains information about the cost-of-living adjustment and direct deposit. There is also an article about FRS Online. Reminders are included about the remaining 2013 benefit payment schedule and keeping your mailing address current. Other brief articles discuss all your eligible benefits and how to contact the division.
