Legislative Affairs Director - Cody Farrill

Cody Farrill

Cody Farrill serves as the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Department of Management Services. In this role, Cody represents DMS in all matters related to the Florida Legislature and Cabinet.

Prior to his roles with DMS, Cody served as a member of the Department of Transportation’s leadership team for four years. This included two and half years as Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs where he was responsible for developing the Department’s annual legislative agenda, acting as primary point of contact for questions related to the Department’s Legislative Budget Request, and managing the Department’s regional government affairs strategy. During this time, Cody was also responsible for all special projects assigned by the Secretary of Transportation including the Department’s response to Hurricane Irma, the largest evacuation in Florida history, and researching options to include in the Trump Administration’s directive for streamlining the infrastructure project permitting process. Prior to this role, Cody served as the FDOT External Affairs Coordinator where he was responsible for coordinating with the transportation industry partners and staffing the Secretary of Transportation at public events across the state.

He holds a Master of Public Administration from the Askew School at Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Troy University in Troy, Alabama. Cody is a proud fifth generation Panama City native and alumnus of the Florida Gubernatorial Fellowship program.
