Legislative Affairs Director - Cody Farrill

Cody Farrill

Cody Farrill serves as the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Department of Management Services. In this role, Cody represents DMS before the Florida Legislature and Cabinet on all matters related to the Department’s business, technology, and workforce functions. Prior to coming to DMS, he served in policy, advocacy, and external affairs capacities within the Department of Transportation and Executive Office of the Governor.  

While at FDOT, Cody reported to the Secretary of Transportation serving as the Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs and Special Projects where he worked to secure record transportation work program funding, manage the state and local government affairs strategy, and oversee the FDOT legislative agenda. In this role, Cody also led advocacy and communications efforts related to the Department’s response to Hurricane Irma, the largest evacuation in Florida history.  

Cody is a proud fifth generation Floridian and alumnus of the Florida Gubernatorial Fellowship program. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the Askew School at Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Troy University in Troy, Alabama where he led state government advocacy efforts.
