Mission Statement

The mission of the Department of Management Services Office of Inspector General Investigations Section is to protect the taxpayers of Florida through independent, fair, and objective investigative activities designed to detect, deter, and prevent fraud, waste and abuse impacting Department operations.

Function of the Investigations Section

The Investigations Section conducts, supervises, and coordinates investigations designed to detect, deter, prevent, and eradicate fraud, waste, mismanagement, misconduct, and other abuses within all program areas of the Department. Investigations are initiated from several sources:

  • The Comptroller's Get Lean Hotline
  • The Chief Inspector General's Whistle-Blower Hotline
  • Department Management or Employees
  • Private citizens or other Departments
