Fleet Information Management System (FIMS)
The Fleet Information Management System (FIMS) is a fleet management and reporting system available to state agency fleet administrators. The system provides the management and cost information required to effectively and efficiently manage the state’s fleet. FIMS also provides accountability of equipment use and expenditures.
FIMS requires agencies to keep records and make reports regarding the effective and efficient use, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement of automobiles, light trucks, small and large (>1 ton) vehicles and equipment designed primarily for transporting people and legal to operate on public roads, watercraft and aircraft.
