DMS is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Florida Facilities Pool, as well as other facilities and structures as assigned. The division works diligently to ensure all citizens, including those with disabilities, have access to these state-owned facilities.

DMS has devised a strategic plan to address any non-compliant issues found within DMS-managed facilities. If DMS identifies any issues, those issues will be prioritized based on the improvements based on scope and funding. DMS’ Americans with Disabilities Coordinator can be reached at

DMS ADA Compliance Support

DMS has provided education and guidance to all agency leasing liaison coordinators advising them to include leasing specifications to require strict compliance with the (2010) ADA (Standards for Accessible Design and the 2012 Florida Accessibility) Code. DMS has requested the initiation and completion of ADA Surveys and 504 transition plans. Completion of transition plans and construction are predicated on the approval of ADA work identified in the respective agency improvement plan submitted to and approved by the legislature, the appropriations from the legislature and the release of those funds by the legislature.
