Information Technology Enterprise Agreements

An information technology (IT) enterprise agreement is an agreement with an IT software publisher to leverage the aggregate licenses and spend of state agencies (collectively “enterprise”). Enterprise agreements reduce the need for agencies to negotiate individual software licensing agreements, include benefits such as license transferability between agencies, and provide large volume discounts. Enterprise agreement terms shall be recognized by the specified publisher and approved resellers, and are also applicable to software purchases from state term contracts and alternate contract sources. Enterprise agreements establish maximum/ceiling prices; agencies are strongly encouraged to negotiate lower prices and seek competitive bids.*
