SMSOAP - Current Membership
Effective July 1, 2017, the Senior Management Service Optional Annuity Program (SMSOAP) is closed to new members. Members enrolled in the SMSOAP prior to July 1, 2017, may retain their membership. In addition, members who participated in the SMSOAP prior to July 1, 2017, had a break in service and return to a SMSOAP eligible position without retiring may participate, but must contact the Optional Retirement Program Section of the Division of Retirement within the first 90 days of employment.
